Davos SUCKS

For all the reasons that the WTO sucks, the WEF sucks even more: it's a snobby, elitist party of wankers. And, since Davos is just a little city, they also feel quite free to squelch the possibility of dissent.

Remember, kids: only totally self-involved wankers are comfortable going to a "conference" of self-styled elites without feeling really creepy.

Some recent notes about Davos have been, in my opinion, all any self and other-respecting human being needs to know about Davos:

• someone gloats because the recent political turbulence in Cote D'Ivoire means 'more hotel rooms' are available;
• someone else gloats because Davos's remoteness makes dissent and direct action nearly impossible;
• more totally ignorant gloating that somehow, because little peckerhead members of the 'global elite' and the big jackass members all get to address the attendees, Davos is egalitarian.

It takes a sicktwist to rejoice at the suffering of others for hotel accomodations; but in what fevered brain does 'every member of the elite gets to speak' become egalitarianism?
