Update: GPL and Novell

Wes Felter, the proprietor of Hack The Planet, (who really needs to get off the ETP bandwagon, IMO), points our, quite rightly, that Novell can't have violated the GPL by using XFree86 code since it isn't GPLed. Absent any deeper investigation, Wes appears to be right about this.

It still raises an interesting issue: just how often is GPL code distributed in proprietary, closed source products? My guess is that it's more often than we might think.

Anyway, thanks, Wes, for pointing out what I should have noticed.
