I'll be taking a little trip to Washington, D.C. (our nation's capital) in August. Browsing Misnomer this morning, I found that some other folks will be there too.

Unlike Kendall, my vacations come during major civil actions by coincidence, not by design -- I don't seek out these sorts of events. But this one may be hard to ignore.

The war against the Iraqi people has gone on quite long enough. My government, and by extension I myself am killing innocent civilians every day. I don't want that on my conscience.

I see that there are rallies and marches scheduled, as well as some nebulously defined "direct action". Direct action's not my style, but I wouldn't mind a little stroll down the Mall on Saturday, August 6, at 1:30 pm.

See you there?
