Well, duh.
A federal judge said on Wednesday he would strike down as
unconstitutional plans by Los Angeles officials to keep
protesters at the upcoming Democratic National Convention
fenced in and well away from delegates.
The convention planners and the city can't give anyone
the right to speak; we're all born with it. Their
attempt to arrange a "no access zone" is really an attempt to
take away our natural right to assemble and make our voices
heard.
"When its convenience vs. the First Amendment, convenience
loses every time," [U.S. District Judge Gary Feess] said.
"Maybe (the delegates) are going to have to walk a little
further. Maybe they are going to have to hoof it."
I like this guy, Feess.
