James Cone, the leading Black American religious thinker of
his generation, explores the meaning of both Martin Luther
King and Malcolm X's visions for social justice in
America.
At the very least, this book helps demostrate how commodotized
MLK's "I have a dream" speech has become. MLK's dream was a
post-capitalist economic order, something beyond the
system that was judged, by Malcolm X, to be a nightmare for
most Americans. Let's see if anyone in the media tells you
that today during their paens to MLK.
An excellent book on a hugely important issue.
