The 15th anniversary bombing of the MOVE house in Philadelphia was Saturday, and it set me to wondering whether the federal government still punishes political dissent. The history of government repression runs right through the history of American political and labor struggles.

If you're unsure about what the government has been willing to do even in recent times, check our Ward Churchill's COINTELPRO papers, which have been artfully transferred to the Web. Highly recommended.
