Take this easy quiz to determine if you should have been a May Day supporter:

are you a CEO?
are you independently wealthy?
did your parents leave you lots of money?
do you hate weekends?
do you like working 18 hour days?
do you like unsafe or unhealthy working conditions?
do you oppose collective bargaining?
do you support child labor?

If you answered "no" to all these questions, then you should have been a supporter of May Day and of trade union activity generally.

It's that simple. May Day was started by international labor organizations to show solidarity with American workers who were being decimated by big business as they tried to win the kinds of things American workers take for granted today. You know, all that really pinko-commie stuff like weekends and 8 hour days.
