So the patricians in the Senate don't like low power radio? Is
anyone surprised? Stay tuned, as we're trying to stay on top
of this issue. If you have any interest in seeing our
airwaves be ours again, urge your Senate patrician to
vote against S.2068.
(Note: this is at least the second time I've noticed Judd
Gregg, junior Senator (Rep) of NH, act like a complete toad.
Here he's defending the rights of corporations to continue
preventing the proper owners of the broadcast spectrum from
using it in their own best interests. In the other case I saw
him on C-Span recent talking -- along with Dodd of Connecticut
-- a load of nonsense about how if you let your kids on the
Internet without snooping on everything they do, some
pedophile will abduct and molest them. There to complete the
circus of absurdity was Donna Rice Hughes, who's certainly the
most technically-clueless of all the anti-porn-crusaders, (I'm
not against anti-porn crusades, per se, only the ones which
stereoptype computer geeks (as perverts) and the ones that
advocate violating my civil rights by way of a solution), as
well as the guy at AO-hel-L who "liasons with law
enforcement," i.e., the guy who calls the cops when you do
stuff they don't like. I'm handicapping Judd Gregg as the
early favorite for the Monkeyfist Congressional Patrician
Doofus of the Year award.)
