That Was Just Too Close

We talked about this a few days ago, so I won't repeat myself. But you should check and see how your senator voted. Mine, Cleland and Coverdell, are both apparently weasels. Too bad, I used to think more highly of Cleland.

The final tally was 63 yeas to 37 nays. It would have taken just four more yeas to send the amendment on to the states, which would surely have ratified it. And goodbye free speech.
