.....
Leonard Peltier, the Native American activist who has been in prison for murder for 24 years (so far), despite the government's repeated admissions that they don't know who is actually responsible for the crimes they once said he committed, is looking for a slate of electors in each state.
This is not the first time a man who can not even vote (he is a convicted and incarcerated felon) has run for President; according to Hugh Esco of the Georgia Green Party, "in 1920, The Socialist Party of the USA nominated and ran Eugene Debs for President while he was serving time for advocating draft resistance, which was known then and maybe now as sedition."
This proposal is inspired by the initiative of the Leonard Peltier for President write-in campaign recently suggested by his editor, Harvey Arden, who explained that Leonard has agreed to allow an independent initiative nominating him for President or Vice President. This can greatly advance the global indigenous peoples' agenda for preserving Land and Life, as well as serve true justice by Leonard's release since Amnesty International calls Leonard Peltier the United States' political prisoner.

More than a write-in campaign, which also legally requires a Slate of Electors for ballot access, this Independent Candidacy USCampaign proposal could rapidly result in establishment of an ongoing network of active "Mirror Union" representatives -- (Electors) of the people in each of the United States corresponding to the number of US Senators and Members of Congress in each State -- a mirror of the present US system to shed light in dark places to bring out the truth about the nature and scope of the problems and solutions of today's global emergency situation threatening all Life on Earth.

However unlikely this precedent [Nelson Mandela's release from prison and subsequent election as President of South Africa] may be to duplicate in the United States, to at least make it possible the US election laws must be followed to make success of this USCampaign viable. Since a convicted felon is not even allowed to vote, let alone hold high public office, and even if by some miracle this Ticket wins the election, since a US President cannot pardon himself for any crimes (see Nixon precedent) this proposed USCampaign Ticket has Peltier as Vice Presidential Candidate and Williams as Presidential Candidate to provide legal authority for Peltier's pardon if this Ticket is elected. A subsequent resignation by Williams would leave Peltier for President.
A mailing list has been established in support of the Williams-Peltier campaign.
