Joel Kovel Withdraws from the Race

With this move, it becomes increasingly obvious that Nader will be the Greens' candidate for president.

The results of the March 7 California primary send a clear message that the Green Party wants Ralph Nader as its presidential candidate for the 2000 election. Accordingly, I am stepping down as a candidate for the Presidency. I would like to congratulate Ralph, who is being justly rewarded for his years of service on behalf of the American people, and to pledge my support to him when, as expected, he is formally nominated in June.
