To Spoil or Not To Spoil

I am not a primary voter. As far as I'm concerned, the candidate a party nominates for president is completely up to the members of that party. Since I'm not a member of any political party, I have no place voting in their little primary election. The State of Georgia, of course, thinks differently; primary elections are open, I could vote for either party's candidates even though I am not registered as a supporter of either.

I'm not particularly enamored with any of the Republicratic candidates anyway. But the one front-runner candidate that I simply cannot tolerate as POTUS would be George W. Bush. My wife has suggested I vote for John McCain, simply as a spoiler. I rankle at the thought of voting for any tweedle-dee/tweedle-dum candidate, but maybe it's worth it to do my bit to keep W out of office. In the general election, trust me, I'm not voting for any of these guys.

I'd love to hear your comments on this issue.
