The Atlantic reviews Emporio Rulli, an Italian-style pasticceria in Larkspur, California. Next time I'm in the Bay Area, I'm going there. In the meantime, there's always Alon's here in Atlanta.

We need more shops like this in this country. This is the kind of local business that just makes a neighborhood feel like a community. I pray that my next home has a locally-owned bakery nearby.
