SciFi Author A.E. Van Vogt Dead at 87

I first encountered A.E. Van Vogt's work in an anthology of science fiction entitled, I believe A Midsummer Night's BEM. (For those unfamiliar with the genre, "BEM" is an acronym for "Bug-Eyed Monster", the ubiquitous beast with bulbous peepers.) It was a cheap paperback containing stories from cheap pulp magazines, and it was great.
