Dave Winer has been making patent-sounding noises (just little
hints, really) lately about his Manila product (See
editthispage.com). Manila is really just another variant of a
WikiWiki, which certainly qualifies as prior art. But, given
the utter stupidity and dismal track record, of the USTPO
people, it never hurts to overkill anything to do with prior
art.
Swikis are WikiWikis that come with Squeak, the free software
Smalltalk system. Mark Guzdial is a Squeak guru (and CS prof
at Niel's alma mater GaTech) and has made a brillant
first-strike in the prior art game.
So, I decided that one way to make sure that Dave Winer can't
say that he didn't know about Prior Art is by making his site
an advertisement for the prior art.

Let me know if you're a member of Userland, and I'll make sure
to add you as a member who can edit the page. Let's please
include links to as many kinds of Wikis (especially those
older than Manila) as possible. (If you'd like to mail me with
an addition, feel free, and I'll post it for you.)
Please feel free to pass this URL around. Generating traffic
for the site is a good way of making sure that it attracts
Dave's attention.
